What we don't doMost web companies say yes to anything.

Then they work out the details later.

We won't, and it's not modesty. We do one thing, and we're able to do it for $100 a month because we don't do the other things. If we said yes to everything we'd be a normal agency charging normal prices.

01

Online shops

No e-commerce, no carts, no payments, no inventory.

A shop is a different kind of software. It needs stock levels, payment handling, tax rules, shipping logic, refunds, and someone watching it. That's a real ongoing job and it's not the one we do.

If you need one: Shopify is genuinely good at this, and we'd tell you to use it.

02

Blogs

No blog, no news section, no article archive.

We're not against writing. We're against the thing that actually happens, which is that a business sets up a blog, posts four times in the first month, and then has a page on their website that says "Latest News" above something from two years ago. That's worse than not having one.

If you'll genuinely write every week, you need a publishing platform and a habit, and we're not the right fit.

03

Booking systems and logins

No appointment booking, no member areas, no client portals, no password resets.

Anything with accounts has to be maintained, monitored and secured forever. It's the part of a website most likely to break and the part most likely to be attacked.

If you need bookings, use a dedicated service and we'll link to it from your site. That's a better result than us building a worse version.

04

Web forms

No contact forms. Not on your site, not on ours.

This one surprises people, so here's the actual reasoning.

They fail silently. A form sends the message somewhere. That somewhere is a chain of services, and when one link breaks, nothing tells you. The form still looks like it worked. The enquiry just never arrives. Businesses lose work this way for months without ever knowing.

They're the way in. A form is the one place your website accepts input from strangers. That makes it the thing that gets attacked and the thing that fills up with spam.

They add weight for something an email address does better.

And the only real benefit is hiding your email address. We don't think you should. If you're a business people are meant to trust, being contactable is the point. We publish ours, and we think you should publish yours.

An email address and a phone number work everywhere, on every device, for everyone, and they never break.

05

Off-site SEO

No link buying. No directory submissions. No guest post schemes. No private blog networks. No "we know a guy".

Everything we do happens on your website, in the open, to the published standard. It's slower than the alternative and it doesn't get your site penalised.

Anyone selling you links is selling you a risk with your name on it.

06

Anything black hat

No hidden text, no keyword stuffing, no cloaking, no doorway pages, no fake reviews, no schema markup describing things that don't exist.

It works until it doesn't, and when it stops working it takes your business with it.

07

Big websites

If you need thirty pages, a document library, multiple languages, or a complicated structure, we're not it. We build five to ten pages, done extremely well.

08

Anything you have to log into

No dashboard. No admin panel. No content management system. No password for you to remember or lose.

That's not a limitation, it's the product. You don't manage your website. You email us, and we change it.

So who is this actually for?

A business with somewhere between five and ten pages that need to be there, look good, load fast, and be found. A business that wants the website handled rather than handed to them.

If that's you, we'd love to hear from you.
